The US State Department has released its 2025 Trafficking in Persons Report. The United Kingdom remains at Tier 1, notwithstanding a number of recommendations to improve the government's response to modern slavery and trafficking.

The Government had introduced two new offences through their Crime and Policing Bill. The offences relate to the exploitation of children and the act of “Cuckooing” another’s property.
