In September 2020 the Office of Independent Anti-Slavery Commissioner published the 2019-2020 annual report in accordance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

The Office of the Independent Anti-Slavery Commissioner has in accordance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 this month published an annual report for the 2019/2020 period. In October 2019, the strategic plan of the Independent Anti-Slavery Commissioner for 2019-2021 was presented to Parliament and presented four key priorities: 

  1. Improving Victim Care and Support
  2. Supporting Law Enforcement and Prosecutions
  3. Focusing on Prevention
  4. Getting Value from Research and Innovation

The annual report is structured around these four priorities presented in the strategic plan and details the activities and steps undertaken to achieve the strategic plan by the Commissioner and their team. The report also addresses other issues, including the impacts of Brexit, communications, and the development of UK-wide approaches. The full report can be accessed here.
